Franke Faber India Ltd (FFIL), a manufacturer of kitchen chimneys and hobs, is setting up a greenfield facility at Sanaswadi. This new plant, which involves a total investment of Rs 50 crore over a three-year period, will have an installed capacity to manufacture 5 lakh hoods, 3 lakh hobs and one lakh other appliances. Phase 1 of the factory will be completed by December 2011 and production will begin in January 2012.
“The factory will use latest technology and will be an export hub for Asia and Middle East,” Mr Ravi Gupta, Managing Director Franke Faber India Ltd, said. Franke Faber India Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Franke Artemis group of Switzerland. The company already makes 1.5 lakh kitchen hoods and one lakh hobs at its plant at Pune that is running to capacity and serves the domestic market.
