GACL net down 32% to Rs 37 cr

State-promoted Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) on Monday said its net profit fell 32 per cent and sales decreased by five per cent in the first quarter of 2012-13 ended June 30 compared with the corresponding quarter last fiscal. While sales turnover was Rs 413.38 crore (Rs 438.51 crore), profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 37.30 crore (Rs 55.27 crore), M.S. Dagur, Managing Director, said in a statement here.
