General Motors (GM) India Pvt Ltd on Friday launched a 24x7 ‘free roadside assistance programme’ for customers who buy new Chevrolet vehicles from January.
The facility is also available for existing Chevrolet owners at a price of Rs 1,000 for one year and Rs 2,700 for three years under warranty, it said in a statement.
“The initiative includes special care for our customers in the event of vehicle immobilisation such as free taxi provision and towing facility anywhere in India,” said P. Balendran, Vice-President, GM India.
The free roadside assistance would support Chevrolet owners in the event of vehicle immobilisation due to mechanical or electrical breakdown, road traffic accident, battery drainage, fuel scarcity, tyre problems and locked or lost key, among others, the company said.
