Floor and wall tile manufacturer H&R Johnson (India) will focus on the small and medium industries to step up sales of industrial floor tiles. The company which has doubled its industrial floor tiles production capacity to over 4 million sq metres a year hopes to tap the SME segment which is a relatively untapped market, according to Ravi Aravamuthan, General Manager. The company has a strong presence across major industrial segments among large industries spanning automobiles, pharmaceuticals, telecom, and public sector companies, he said. It manufactures floor tiles under the brand name Endura specifically for use in industrial units. This range has the required durability and strength needed for use in factories including hardness, resistance to chemicals and, if needed anti-static properties. The expansion of industrial tile production at its Dewas unit in Madhya Pradesh is part of the Rs 400-crore expansion it had announced earlier, Aravamuthan said.
