Mr Harish Bhat, 49, has been appointed CEO and Managing Director of Tata Global Beverages Ltd. Mr Bhat, who till recently was the Chief Operating Officer, Watches, Titan Industries, will take over from Mr Percy Siganporia who retires on June 30 after 38 years with the Tata group.
A communication to the BSE says that Mr Cyrus P. Mistry, Deputy Chairman, Tata Sons, has been inducted to the board of Tata Global as a Director. Mr Darius Pandole also joins the company as an Independent Director.

Mr Bhat is currently on a sabbatical from Titan as he’s writing a book on the Tata group, which is in the final draft stage. A gold medallist from IIM-A and an electrical engineer from BITS, Pilani, Mr Bhat joined the Tata group in 1987 and worked in Tata Tea for many years before moving to Titan. He will now be based in London.
Mr Pandole, a press release from the company says, is a Harvard graduate with an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a partner at New Silk Route Advisors Pvt. Ltd, a private equity firm focused on investing in India and other Asian economies. Mr Pandole had earlier worked with Kraft General Foods in the US and returned to India in 1993 and managed the operations of his family-owned soft drinks business, Duke and Sons Ltd. He’s a former junior national squash champ.
The company’s scrip closed at Rs 108.10 on the BSE on Friday.
