India is partner country at the ‘Pro Food Pro Pack 2012’ organised here from July 6-8. A special attraction at the exhibition will be the display of wines produced by following seven wine companies from India whose samples would be available to prospective buyers from Sri Lanka. The companies are: John Distilliers, Chataeu‘d Ori, Renaissance Winery, Nashik Vinters, Vintage Wines, Big Banyan Wines, Vallonne Vineyards, and Valle De Vin.The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is the coordinating body at the India end. APEDA is in charge of the development and promotion of export of agricultural products including floriculture, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, livestock products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cereal products, groundnuts, peanuts and walnuts. Other Indian companies participating include Harley Carmbel India (coffee, spices, cashew kernels, vegetable oil & other food stuffs), Nikasu Frozen Foods International (frozen samosa, spring rolls, baby products and other frozen RTE Indian Foods), Rainbow International (fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods), Haaz (fresh fruits and vegetables), Ess Pee Quality Products (honey) and Galla Foods (fruit pulps and juices).
