Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has hiked the domestic piped natural gas (PNG) for households in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad with effect from Sunday, February 10.
For households in Delhi, the new consumer price is being revised to Rs 23.50 per standard cubic metre (SCM) for consumption up to 30 SCM in two months and to Rs 35.50 per SCM beyond consumption of 30 SCM in two months. The existing price of domestic PNG is Rs 22 per SCM for consumption upto 30 SCM in two months and Rs 34 per SCM beyond consumption of 30 SCM in two months.
IGL, a joint venture of GAIL, BPCL and Government of NCT of Delhi, attributed price rise to the increased input gas price. The price
revision comes after nearly after one and a half years since the last revision in September 2011.
Due to differential tax structure in Uttar Pradesh, the applicable price of domestic PNG to households in Noida, Greater Noida and
Ghaziabad would be Rs 25 per SCM for consumption upto 30 SCM in two months and Rs 38 per SCM beyond consumption of 30 SCM in two months.
The existing price of domestic PNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad is Rs 23.50 per SCM for consumption upto 30 SCM in two months and Rs 34 per SCM beyond consumption of 30 SCM in two months.
PNG is the preferred kitchen fuel for nearly 3.7 lakh customers in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
