JSW Steel has reported 14 per cent increase in crude steel production at 9.90 lakh tonnes (lt) in April against 8.67 lt recorded in the same period last year. Flat steel output was up 14 per cent at 7.76 lt (6.80 lt), while that of long products’ increased 28 per cent to 1.64 lt (1.28 lt), said the company in a statement on Monday. The company’s shares were down 6 per cent at ₹1,244 on Monday.
