KEC International wins orders worth Rs 437 crore

KEC International Ltd (KEC), an RPG Group company, has won new orders worth Rs 437 crore for its transmission and cables businesses. The shares were up 3.43 per cent at Rs 122 a share on the BSE in a strong market.

The company won orders worth Rs 373 crore from the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kenya and the Americas, it said in a statement.

KEC secured orders from Abu Dhabi Transmission & Dispatch Company in the UAE, order for construction of 132/33 kV grid station in Oman, a supply and installation of 220 kV transmission line and bay extension order from Kenya, and a contract to supply lattice towers, monopoles and hardware from the United States, Brazil and Mexico.

Under its cables business, the company has won orders for the supply of power and telecom cables worth Rs 64 crore.

KEC International is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major.
