Kalpataru Power Transmission, a major EPC player in the transmission segment, has posted a 16 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 51 crore for the quarter-ended December 31, 2010 as against Rs 44 crore logged in the same period last year. Revenues were up 10 per cent at Rs 793 crore (Rs 719 crore). The order book stands at over Rs 5,000 crore.
Mr. Pankaj Sachdeva, Managing Director, said, “Our performance has continued to improve on a sequential basis, in line with the pick up in demand in the domestic as well as overseas market. We continue to maintain a positive business outlook.” JMC Projects (India), a subsidiary of Kalpataru, clocked a 21 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 10 crore. Total income was Rs 364 crore (Rs 339 crore).
JMC has an order book of Rs 4,300 crore.
