Tata Group firm Indian Hotels Company today said R.K. Krishna Kumar has ceased to be a director upon his retirement. “In compliance with the Tata guidelines on retirement of directors, R.K. Krishna Kumar has ceased to be a director of the company with effect from July 18,” Indian Hotels Company said in a filing to the BSE. Kumar, a close confidante of Ratan Tata, was also on the boards of a number of Tata Group companies, including Tata Sons Ltd and Tata Industries Ltd.
Manmeet Vohra joins Tata Starbucks
Tata Starbucks, a joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd, announced the appointment of Manmeet Vohra as its new Director - Marketing and Category. In her new role, Vohra will lead all marketing and category aspects for the company in India. Prior to this, she was the Marketing Director at TAG Heuer. Meanwhile, Sushant Dash, who joined Tata Starbucks last August, will continue his association in his new role as the Global Brand Director of Tata Global Beverages Ltd.
Cigniti Technologies said that it has expanded its management team by appointing Mahendra Alladi as its Chief Technology Officer. He earlier served as Vice-President - Technology at Gallop Solutions, a company he co-founded. Gallop was recently acquired by Cigniti. At Cigniti, he will focus on driving IP-led testing services by building tools, frameworks and utilities that accelerate software test life cycle.
SCA ropes in Milind Pingle
SCA, a global player in hygiene products, has appointed Milind Pingle as Managing Director for its India operations. “Milind Pingle has joined the MEIA (Middle East, India & Africa) team and takes on the role as Managing Director in SCA Hygiene Products India Pvt Ltd,” SCA Vice-President Consumer Goods India Cecilia Edebo said in a statement. Pingle will report directly to Thomas Wulkan, President of Business Unit and will be a part of the MEIA Management team, it added.
