Consumer durables major LG Electronics has introduced a new interactive television ‘Smart TV’, which has inbuilt online content, movies and other applications.
The company said it has tied up with content providers like NDTV.com, Hungama.com, Indiatimes.com and Zapak.com for local Indian content.
‘Smart TV’ allows access to thousands of movies, customisable applications, videos and the ability to browse the web through an easy to navigate interface, LG Electronics India said in a statement.
“LG Smart TVs have been designed to provide endless options of entertainment. Eventually content is going to be the key differentiating factor for the consumer; therefore we have taken the lead in providing an excellent mix of global as well as India specific content for our Smart TV buyers,” the LG Electronics’ Managing Director, Mr Soon Kwon, said.
The ‘Smart TV’ will be available in 14 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) from 32” to 55” with a price range of Rs 43,000 to Rs 1.7 lakh.
