Leyland Deere, the joint venture between Ashok Leyland and John Deere, has bagged an order for 20 units of the ‘435’ backhoe loaders from the Tamil Nadu Earth Moving Equipment Owners Welfare Association.
P. Ravishankar, CEO, said, “The product has been engineered to perform in Indian operating conditions and meet specific needs of Indian end-users.”
The backhoe loader is being manufactured at Leyland Deere’s faciliity at Gummdipoondi near Chennai.
The Tamil Nadu Earth Moving Equipment Owners Welfare Association has over 700 members from the construction and earth moving equipment industry.
