Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) will construct toilet blocks in 50 schools during the current financial year.
A press release by MRPL said here on Saturday that the company would build toilet blocks in 50 schools with an outlay of ₹1.85 crore under the Swachh Vidyalay Abhiyan programme during the current year.
H Kumar, Managing Director of MRPL, launched the programme in Mangalore on October 2, it said.
In the first phase, the toilet blocks will be constructed in Government High School, Chelaaru; Government High School, Soorinje; Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat (DKZP) Higher Primary School, Thokur Jokatte; DKZP Higher Primary School, Katipalla 3rd block; DKZP Higher Primary School and Government Composite High School at Krishnapura 5th block; Government High School and DKZP Higher Primary School at Porkodi Kenjar; Government High School, Krishnapura 7th block; and DKZP Model Higher Primary School, Katipalla 8th block, it added.
