McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd (MBECL) is looking to synergise industrial pump technology from its recently acquired UK firm Hayward Tyler with its own pump business.
“We have slurry pump outfit and R&D centre located in Bangalore. Some of the Hayward Tyler (HT) pump technology can have sizable market in India. We have assigned AC Nielsen to study the industrial pump market in the country. We are also redesigning some of the HT pumps to suit the Indian market,” said Deepak Khaitan Chairman of MBCEL.
It was also looking for technology partners in material handling equipment. “We do not intend to acquire technology companies as of now but with to partner. We have identified 5 such possible parterns”, he added.
He also said in Mongolia MBECL was engaged in negotiations with a private-public coal mining outfit to set up a coal washery.
The firm, which posted a turnover of about Rs 2,000 crore last fiscal, is eyeing 10 per cent growth in revenue this fiscal. “We would be on a consolidation mode till 2015”, he added.
MBECL has bagged an order from ACC Ltd for civil construction and installation of a cement plant at Jamul in Chhattisgarh. The Rs 733.34-crore order is to be executed in the next 915 days.
