Megha Engg steps into foreign shores

Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) entered the international market with a contract in Bangladesh.

The $3.62-million order is for the supply of a Natural Gas Booster Compressor package to Jamuna Fertilizer Company Ltd, a government organisation under Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation.

The contract has to be executed within one year.

First Global order

“MEIL's first International order has been secured and will be executed by its hydrocarbon division. The small beginning in overseas market would pave the way to expand MEIL's operations beyond Indian shores,” said Mr P. Doraiah, Director, MEIL.

MEIL has secured seven work orders from various sectors within the country, with the value being Rs 253 crore, the company said in a press release here today.

ONGC order

The Hyderabad-based company secured an order from ONGC, West Region. The company has to construct 10 crude oil storage tanks with capacity of 1,000 to 2,500 cubic meters at Mehasana and Ankaleswar in Gujarat.

The project is worth Rs 25.3 crore. This EPC contract has to be completed within 22 months on a turn-key basis.

Karnataka, AP

The company bagged orders worth Rs 11.95 crore from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation, and another from AP Transco worth Rs 11.57 cr. MEIL has to take up civil works, supply and commissioning as a part of the contracts.

Hinduja National Power Corporation Ltd has entrusted a project worth Rs 50.13 cr to MEIL. The company has to take up supply and laying of 3.6 meter diameter pipelines at Hinduja Thermal station.

In Andhra Pradesh the company obtained an order worth Rs 74 crore in the rural water scheme.
