Expanding its range of AMG cars in India, Mercedes-Benz India on Thursday launched its latest sports utility vehicle (SUV) ML 63 priced at ₹1.49 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The ML 63 AMG has a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, which has a maximum torque of 760Nm and reaches 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds, the company said.
With this latest addition to its AMG portfolio, Mercedes-Benz India now has six models, including the C 63 AMG, E 63 AMG, SLK 55 AMG and GL 63 AMG, in the country. This is its second launch in the last one month, when the company launched seven-seater GL 63 AMG SUV at ₹1.66 crore on April 15. “We have around 200 AMGs on the Indian roads currently, sold over the last couple of years. This year, we are aiming to double the sales as compared to the units sold last year,” Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, told reporters here.
Meanwhile, the company opened its AMG Performance Centre in Delhi to focus on personalised service to its customers.
