Tata Motors, Bhima Jewellery and Josco Jewellers have joined title sponsor South Indian Bank to support the sixth season of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF).

Dalda and Carnival Group are set to join as title sponsors of the international trade fair being held in Kochi from December 22 to January 9 as part of GKSF.

On Thursday, A. P. Anil Kumar, Minister for Tourism, exchanged a memorandum of agreement with Vijay Menon, Regional Manager at Tata Motors, B. Govindan, Chairman at Bhima and James P. Abraham, General Manager of Josco.

Among those present were Rani George, Director of Kerala Tourism, U. V. Jose, Director of GKSF, N. J. Reddy, Deputy General Manager at South Indian Bank and Shyam Sunder, Manager at Malabar Gold.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will launch the sixth edition of GKSF at Kannur on Saturday.

Season Six has also overtaken its predecessors in terms of merchant establishment registrations, particularly in the premium-paid gold and silver categories, a spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, a decked-up vehicle that travelled through eight States as part of a national road show is scheduled to arrive at the venue of GKSF launch.

The vehicle was given a warm reception here on Thursday by a host delegation led by the Chief Minister.
