Auto components manufacturer Motherson Sumi Systems reported consolidated net profit of ₹302.53 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014, a 54.5 per cent jump compared with ₹195.8 crore in the same period last year. Net sales during the quarter grew by 25.59 per cent to ₹8,289.01 crore (₹6,599.61 crore). This is the highest ever earnings for the quarter as well for the year reported both on consolidated as well on standalone basis. Shares of the company closed at ₹279.75 on the BSE on Thursday, down 2.39 per cent.
