India's largest iron ore producer NMDC has clocked a 22 per cent rise in its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 at Rs 1859 crore, as compared to Rs 1518 crore in the year-ago period, mostly on the back of higher sales.
During the period, the company reported net sales of Rs 2822 crore (Rs 2621 crore).
The Board of Directors has approved a further interim dividend of Re 1 per equity share, taking the total interim dividend so far to Rs 2 per equity share for the current fiscal.
