Public sector power producer National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd on Thursday reported around 6.77 per cent dip in its fourth quarter net profit.
NTPC has reported net profit of Rs 2,593.44 crore during January-March 2012 down from Rs 2,781.84 crore in the same period the previous year. The dip in net profit is mainly due to rising fuel cost and higher generation lost.
Also, NTPC declared final dividend of Rs 0.50 for each share, taking total dividend to Rs 4.00 a share for 2011-12.
