Nestle India has posted net profit of ₹259 crore for the quarter ended March 31, down 7 per cent from ₹279.09 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal year. The company’s net sales grew by 2.9 per cent to ₹2,313 crore.
The company said that the operating margins have been adversely impacted, “by high price of milk solids” among other higher expenditures on the base of a strong quarter last year. The firm follows the January-December financial year.
The board declared an interim dividend of ₹12.50 per equity share (face value ₹10 each).
