ONGC at Rajahmundry has distributed Rs 2.28 crore towards various corporate social responsibility activities in the districts of east and west Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr A.A. Khan, Executive Director – Asset Manager, ONGC, Rajahmundry Asset, said that according to the Union Government norms, ONGC spends 2 per cent of its profits on CSR activities.
Included in the activities were distribution towards class room furniture, construction of additional class rooms and toilets, drinking water facilities, equipment for schools.
Village amenities, like community hall, reverse osmosis plants including borewell, power supply to Gudavalli, Mosalapalli, Antarvedi, Mattaparru villages, etc.
