Power Finance Corporation on Friday reported 23 per cent higher net profit at Rs 1,198.24 crore (Rs 971.88 crore) during April-June.
Total income has increased from Rs 3,944.86 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, to Rs 5,017.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013, it said in a statement to the BSE.
The loan assets of the public sector power financier increased 24 per cent, while net worth went up 15 per cent to Rs 23,427 crore during the first quarter of 2013-14.
PFC Chairman Satnam Singh's term was over on July 31. The Government is yet to decide if Singh would be given an extension or the process for searching a new Chairman would be initiated.
