Panasonic India eyes a 50 per cent growth in sales during this festive season, compared with the same period a year ago. The growth would be driven by higher sales of TV sets and air-conditioners.
“We aim to clock nearly Rs 1,200 crore during the festive season this fiscal, compared with Rs 800 crore same period last year,” Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Consumer Product Division, said here on Wednesday. According to him, the season kicks off with Onam in August and continues till November.
The company announced its festive offers for the eastern region a month ahead of Durga Puja. “The eastern region sets the pace for festive season sales across the country,” Sharma said.
He pointed out the company’s ‘zero per cent financing offer’ would help fuel the growth in sales.
Panasonic would invest nearly Rs 70 crore for new television commercials and marketing initiatives this fiscal.
The company, which hiked prices of its ACs and refrigerators earlier this month, does not plan to increase them any further.
