Piaggio Vehicles, the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of the Italian Piaggio Group, has launched Vespa scooter in Hyderabad while opening three new dealerships.
These three dealerships are that of SPR Automobiles, Shrey Automotive and Smart Auto.
Mr Ravi Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio Vehicles India, in a statement said, “Our dealers will support us in our vision to ensure Vespa India chapter success. They will incorporate Piaggio’s best practices and processes for customers in India.”
The aspirational brand Vespa hopes to make available its products and services across India. All three dealerships have been designed to resonate the Vespa brand and style quotient. These dealerships will offer complete solutions from body work tools, spare parts and servicing.
Following the commissioning of a new manufacturing base last month, the company launched its 125cc scooter and is seeking to play a larger role in India bringing in more models including in the three-wheeler category.
