Mumbai-based Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers presented a dividend cheque for Rs 71.44 crore for the year 2011-12 to the Government. The cheque was presented by R.G. Rajan, Chairman and Managing Director, RCF, to M.K. Alagiri, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, in New Delhi on Thursday. In 2011-12, RCF achieved a turnover of Rs 6499.12 crore and notched its highest-ever profit of Rs 249.24 crore. The net profit for the previous year was Rs 245.12 crore. In physical terms, the company sold 40.80 lakh tonnes.
