Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, started the fiscal on a positive note with the best ever April turnover of ₹875 crore, registering growth of 51 per cent. It includes exports of ₹75 crore. The sales of wire rods was impressive, logging a growth of 67 per cent. Despite power problems, RINL saw the production of liquid steel grow 16 per cent. RINL Chairman and Managing Director P Madhusudan expressed confidence that the performance would further improve in the financial year.
