Reliance Infrastructure today reported a net profit of Rs 431 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014, a marginal rise from Rs 427 crore in the corresponding period of the last financial year.
Total income from operations stood at Rs 4,057.95 crore as against Rs 4,977.28 crore in the comparable quarter last fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
The company recovered Rs 221 crore arrears in the second quarter of the current fiscal from its Mumbai power distribution business.
Reliance Infrastructure said the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission approved recovery of Rs 2,100 crore arrears including carrying cost in company’s Delhi discom.
The company’s flagship thermal power plant at Dahanu in Maharashtra generated 1,091 million units of electricity in the period.
The company earned revenue of Rs 146 crore from its cement business during the period as against Rs 159 crore in the corresponding previous year.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 636.95, down 0.99 per cent on BSE.
