The old blast furnace No 2 of SAIL’s IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) recorded its highest ever daily production on October 7 at 816 tonnes of hot metal.
The monthly hot metal output of 21,054 tonnes in October was also a record. Dispatch of BF coke of 43,953 tonnes under inter plant transfer was also the highest, a press release said.
October dispatch of pig iron at 7,651 tonnes was the biggest quantity so far this financial year.
