Reliance Power' 1,200-MW Rosa thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh is fully operational, the company said.
The Shahjahanpur plant has four units of 300 MW each. Three units are already operational. The fourth was commissioned on March 31.
RPower said the Rs 6,000-crore plant has been operating at above 95 per cent PLF (plant load factor). It was commissioned four months ahead of schedule, it said.
Uttar Pradesh will use the entire power generated by the plant. The plant will contribute to 15 per cent of the State's total energy requirement. It will help light up at least 30 lakh households.
