SKS Microfinance’s net profit increased 31 per cent at Rs 21 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2013, compared with Rs 16 crore in the year-ago period on higher disbursals and lower operational expenditure.
This is the fifth consecutive quarter of profit for SKS after its turnaround in the third quarter of last financial year.
The total revenue increased 56 per cent at Rs133 crore (Rs 85 crore). Loan disbursements grew to Rs 1,399 crore (Rs 978 crore). SKS scrip lost 6.28 per cent to end at Rs 187.20 on the BSE on Friday.
