Seshasayee Paper and Boards reported a 73 per cent jump in net profit for the third quarter of the current year compared with that of the corresponding period previously.
For the quarter ended December 31, it reported a net profit of Rs 8.11 crore (Rs 4.68 crore) on a total income of Rs 161.51 crore (Rs 142.34 crore).
According to a press release, higher volume of sales and increase in prices of paper have contributed to the performance.
Production during the quarter was 29,494 tonnes (30,035 tonnes) and sales 28,994 tonnes (26,924 tonnes). Exports jumped to 4,079 tonnes (1,947 tonnes). On the NSE, the company’s shares closed at Rs 226 against the previous close of Rs 233.80.
