Sirpur Paper Mills Ltd has reported a loss of Rs 27.18 crore and lower income from operations at Rs 59.30 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012. The company had recorded a loss of Rs 2.43 crore and income of Rs 96.44 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s revenue and profitability during the first quarter was impacted due to disruption in production at mills located in Sirpur Kagaznagar following a mishap in chemical soda recovery plant. The management of the company has filed for necessary claims for the losses due to the accident.The company’s shares closed on Friday at Rs 37.75, up 1.15 per cent.
