Apalya Technologies on Friday said it has partnered with broadcast firm Multi—Screen Media (formerly SET India) for offering content from MSM’s general entertainment channels on the mobile platform.

Shows from two of MSM’s GECs —— Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and SAB TV will now be available on the Apalya mobile TV platform, Apalya said in a statement.

With the roll—out of 3G services, streaming on the mobile platform will become faster and more convenient, allowing viewers to experience quality mobile TV experience. The content will be available across mobile networks like Idea, Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, RCom and Tata Docomo, it added.

“We at Sony understand that today’s viewers are busy and always on the move. Partnering with Apalya for SET and SAB has given us an innovative way to leverage technology to not only reach out to our existing viewers, but also gives us the platform to cater to a larger mobile audience,” said Mr Nitesh Kripalani, MSM Vice—President (Business Development and Digital/Syndication).
