Steel pipe maker Surya Roshni has received the European ‘CE' certification for its products, which is mandatory for exports to Europe. Following the certification, the company expects a 25 per cent increase in its exports to Europe, the company said.
“It is a big achievement that makes us proud,” said Mr J.P.Agarwal, CMD, Surya Roshni, in a statement. The company, which exports steel pipes to the UAE and European countries, has explored into many new overseas markets such as the US, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UK, Latin America and some African nations.
Surya Roshni's exports stood at Rs 300 crore last year and accounted for less than a fifth of the company's turnover from steel business at Rs 1,750 crore. The lighting business turnover stood at Rs 800 crore.
