TCI Sanmar Chemicals will establish a plastic park at Port Said, Egypt.
The land for the park will be allotted by the Governorate of Port Said.
Besides developing the infrastructure facilities, TCI Sanmar will provide technical and commercial expertise for small and medium enterprises, said a press release.
SMEs can take up suitable area of land in the plastic park to produce downstream products such as PVC pipes, profiles and calendars using PVC as the raw material. The park will have all infrastructure facilities such as developed land, roads, lighting and common waste-treatment facilities, said the release.
P. S. Jayaraman, Chairman, TCI Sanmar Chemicals S.A.E., Port Said, Egypt, had entered into a memorandum of understanding with Osama Saleh, Minister of Investment, Government of Egypt, recently at New Delhi in the presence of Mohamed Morsy, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
TCI Sanmar Chemicals is part of the Sanmar Group, which has a presence in chemicals, engineering, metals and shipping. The Sanmar Group has invested $1.3 billion at Port Said and has set up chlor-alkali and PVC facilities.
