Bicycle manufacturer TI Cycles, a part of $3.2 billion Murugappa Group, has roped in F1 driver Karan Chandhok as brand ambassador of its Montra range of cycles.
The company’s Montra range of bicycles cost between Rs 23,000 and Rs 1 lakh and are available in two variants.
“In an effort to establish an instant connect between Montra and the Indian masses, Karun Chandhok is the perfect fit,” TI Cycles of India General Manager Rajesh Mani said in a statement today.
The Chennai-based firm posted revenues of Rs 1,121 crore last fiscal and has a capacity to produce 4 million cycles annually at three plants across the country.
Apart from its own brands, TI also sells established international brands such as Schwinn, GT, Canondale and Ducati.
