TVS Motor has reported 7 per cent growth in net profit for the quarter ended September 30, compared with the corresponding previous quarter.
The two- and three-wheeler maker has reported a net profit of ₹94.81 crore (₹88.84 crore) on a total income of ₹2,683 crore (₹1,988.37 crore) for the quarter.
Total two-wheeler sales grew by 35 per cent during the quarter to 6.48 lakh units (4.79 lakh); motorcycle sales grew by 29 per cent to 2.55 lakh units (1.97 lakh). Scooter sales jumped 68 per cent to 1.95 lakh units (1.16 lakh). Three-wheeler sales grew 24 per cent to 27,946 units (22,606). Two- and three-wheeler exports registered a growth of 29 per cent to 1.03 lakh units (80,000).
During the quarter, PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia notched up two-wheeler sales of 6,752 units (5,187).
