Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of commercial and passenger vehicles fell 23 per cent to 39,623 vehicles in July, over 51,549 vehicles sold during the same month a year ago.

The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles during the reporting month fell 25 per cent to 35,256 units, compared with 47,272 vehicles sold in July last year.

Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal were 1,49,597 units, lower by 27 per cent over 2,04,744 units sold last year, Tata Motors said in a statement on Friday.

The company sold 26,089 units of commercial vehicles in the domestic market, a 28 per cent fall compared with 36,448 vehicles sold in July last year. Light Commercial Vehicle sales fell 39 per cent to 16,364 units, while sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles remained flat at 9,725 units.

Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal were 101,254 units, lower by 30 per cent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales were 64,371 units, a 37 per cent fall over last year, while M&HCV sales stood at 36,883 units, lower by 10 per cent over last year.
