Tata Power has said that the collective power generation of its plants in the second quarter of this fiscal was 10,946 million units (10,484 mu). Tata Power’s subsidiaries Coastal Gujarat Power ltd and Maithon Power had significantly contributed to the increase in generation with 5,722 MUs and 1,577 MUs. The generation from hydro electric projects was 398 MUs, wind power 282 MUs and solar energy one MU. Anil Sardana, Managing Director and CEO, Tata Power, in a statement, said, “Tata Power aims to achieve generation capacity of 18,000 MW by 2022”.
