Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has sold 13,847 vehicles in July, a 4 per cent fall compared with 14,470 units sold during the same month a year ago.
The company exported 1,926 units of the Etios series last month.
In the domestic market TKM sold 11,921 units in July as compared to 11,515 units in the same month last year, thereby posting 4 per cent growth.
“Both the Corolla Altis and the Etios Cross have been well accepted by customers, especially for quality, durability and reliability. We sold 882 units and 888 units of the Corolla Altis and Etios Cross, respectively. The Innova and Fortuner also continue to maintain their leadership position in their respective segments,” said N Raja, Director and Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing.
“We look forward to a further improvement in customers’ purchasing sentiments with the beginning of the festive season,” Raja added.
