Volkswagen Group India will showcase Nils, its concept electric car designed for individual mobility requirements as well as the concept of ‘MicroCity’ at the last and fifth leg of the Indo-German Urban Mela to be held here from January 11-21.
Nils is a single-seat electric concept vehicle designed to address future individual mobility requirements. It is a compact car which is 3.04 m long, 1.39 m wide and 1.2 m tall, and has aluminium space frame, wing doors and free-standing wheels.
MicroCity is one of the solutions conceptualised by Volkswagen to address problems of urban congestion, said Alexander Skibbe, head of communication for VW Group India. “This is a project of our research team,” he said, adding that India is the only country where the idea is being showcased.
