Ice-cream and frozen food maker Vadilal Industries Ltd reported an increase of 59 per cent in net profit and 25 per cent in sales in the first quarter ended June 30 compared with the corresponding period last fiscal. While the sales were Rs 133.37 crore (Rs 106.75 crore), net profit stood at Rs 13.78 crore (Rs 8.66 crore), the company said in a statement here. On Tuesday, the company’s shares on the BSE closed 3.22 per cent up at Rs 134.50.
