Air-conditioning and engineering services company Voltas Ltd has secured three orders totalling Rs 1,000 crore in West Asia.
One order is for an integrated health centre and workers’ hospital in the old industrial area of Qatar. The work covers air-conditioning, electrical, extra low voltage systems (ELV) systems, plumbing and fire-fighting. The timeline for the project’s execution is 24 months.
Another order is for a sports hall and administrative office in Qatar, a 5,350-seater indoor stadium to host the World Cup handball competition scheduled for January 2015. The work is slated for completion in 12 months.
Voltas has also got a contract to develop Oman’s first beachfront and a five-star hotel. This project will be executed by Voltas’ Oman-based joint venture.
On Tuesday, the Voltas scrip closed at Rs 95.05, up 1.82 per cent, on the BSE.
