Wipro has bagged a $400 million deal from Takeda Pharmaceutical, the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan. Wipro will be primary provider of IT infrastructure management services covering Takeda globally, touching 30,000 users in 16 different languages, operating out of data centres in Asia, Europe and America. India’s third largest software exporter did not disclose the size or the terms of this deal. Sangita Singh, Chief Executive — Healthcare and Life Science Business Unit at Wipro said: “Wipro is leveraging its experience in enabling global pharma companies to achieve a leaner and standardised IT workplace and implement newer business models.”
