Drug-maker and exporter Aarti Industries has elevated Rajendra V. Gogri as Chairman and Managing Director of the company from his earlier post as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director.
Gogri succeeds Chandrakant V. Gogri who retired as Chairman, but will continue as Chairman Emeritus. The Rs 1,600 crore company has made other changes to the constitution of its board of directors involving the promoter-family, and these appointments come into effect retrospectively from August 16, 2012, a note from the company said. Rajendra Gogri has been with the company since its inception and was later appointed as Managing Director in 1993 and Vice-Chairman and Managing Director in 2003.
Also, Rashesh C. Gogri, a Whole-time Director with the company, has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director. He has been Executive Director with the company for over 18 years, handling various business units. Renil R. Gogri has been appointed as Whole-Time Director of the company.
Aarti Industries shares were marginally up on the BSE at Rs 77 on Friday.
