Global healthcare company Abbott on Tuesday launched its new digital health service in India as part of its global a:care programme.

The a:care service has been designed to meet a range of healthcare needs — from prevention to awareness, adherence to treatment and motivation. The service is for free and not tied to any product, treatment or disease, notes a release from the healthcare major.

Stating that the programme has been designed to bridge communication between doctors and consumers, Jawed Zia, Head, Abbott Pharmaceutical, India said: “

New technologies that monitor health, analyse data and offer personalised recommendations can help and educate people in prevention, thanks to emerging digital technologies that use data and AI to monitor patients.”

The digital platform currently includes diabetes, thyroid and osteoarthhritis.
