Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship company of the diversified Adani Group, on Monday reported a 75 per cent increase in consolidated sales and 9 per cent hike in profit after tax during the second quarter ended September 30, as compared with the corresponding period in the previous fiscal .
Releasing the company's unaudited quarterly financial results, Mr Devang Desai, Executive Director and Group CFO, told reporters here that the turnover was Rs 10,084 crore (Rs 5,752 crore) while the net profit stood at Rs 553 crore (Rs 509 crore). Interest and finance charges were Rs 487.14 crore (Rs 133.89 crore) during Q2.
On a standalone basis, AEL's income was Rs 1,615.94 crore (Rs 646.68 crore), while PAT was Rs 46.02 crore (Rs 124.93 crore). On Monday, the company's share price at the BSE closed 0.45 per cent down at Rs 455.75.
