Adani Gas Ltd (AGL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, has bagged the city gas distribution (CGD) network project for Udupi district.
Quoting Kishore Alva, Joint President of Adani Group, who is heading the projects of Adani entity in Karnataka, a press release said here on Tuesday that AGL would develop CGD networks to supply the piped natural gas (PNG) to the industrial, commercial and domestic; and compressed natural gas (CNG) to the transport sector (automotive/vehicular consumers) in the district.
The release said that AGL is one among the successful bidders under 9th CGD bidding round called by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
CGD project in Udupi district will be completed in eight years covering 11 CNG retail outlets and 569-km-long steel pipeline, and PNG connections to 1.10 lakh households. He said the network tariff is ₹30 per metric million British thermal unit (MMBtu). The project in Udupi district will provide employment to the locals, he added.
